Butts & Cats = in an art related context
Hi! My name is Falka and I'm a professional expert catlady from Germany.
This is supposedly an art blog, but I also post personal stuff and reblog things that I think are interesting or fun.
I mostly draw fanart for BBC Sherlock, but occasionally there will be other fandoms and original art (haha!)
My blog is NSFW and I am not the most reliable when it comes to tagging just so you know ♥♥♥

Lets Draw Sherlock November - Minor Character Mini Challenge!
Week One: Anderson!
This is rather NSFW and quite silly in a way and I’m a bit sorry, but also not.

Lets Draw Sherlock November - Minor Character Mini Challenge!

Week One: Anderson!

WELP!

My entry for the favourite movie/anime/cartoon scene letsdrawsherlock!

I chose a scene from Sam Raimi’s Army of Darkness from 1992.

It’s been one of my favourite movies ever since I’ve caught it randomly on tv about 15 years ago. It’s funny and stupid and has some of the best one liners in movie history! 10/10 do recommend!

I probably could have made this much shorter, but then everything Bruce Campbell’s character Ash said was so funny and sounded perfect for Sherlock, so this got a bit out of hand.

PLEASE READ ALL THE RULES BEFORE BEGINNING!

Hey all! For July, Let’s draw Sherlock’s challenge is Holmes reimagined in your own culture!

Ends: August 15th!
Sherlock Holmes has been recreated as part of different cultures in the past. Watson and Holmes, House, Elementary, all contain characters with different nationalities and races from the original. It’s fascinating to see what being from another place and culture brings to the existing characters, or how it changes them.
Your challenge is to bring Sherlock Holmes into YOUR OWN CULTURE. You can use the existing character designs of any Sherlock, or, you can create designs all your own. Your interpretation can use any time period in your culture (so if you are British, you just have to use a time period that Holmes hasn’t been commonly set in). If you are a citizen of a country but your parents were born somewhere else, you’re free to use that culture as well, as long as you are very familiar with it. However just because you have ancestry in another country doesn’t mean you should use it; I (reapersun) have Polish blood, for example, but I’ve never been to Poland and know next to nothing about it, so it would be very inappropriate for me to try and create something Polish. We’re also going to leave it to you to define “culture”; most of us would define it by ethnicity or family or how we grew up, but we know there are other kinds of cultures that could be just as interesting. We’ll have to judge on a case by case basis so feel free to check with us before starting. When this theme was up for vote, there was a lot of concern about stereotyping and potentially offensive content. This is why the rules limit it to your own culture, the one that you are likely to know the most about. Try to be sensitive when creating your entry. We know this theme is a little risky since there is so much potential to go wrong, but, we feel like there is also a lot of potential to learn and create some wonderful pieces, so we are accepting the risk. If you notice anything wrong with a piece, feel free to message us, or message that person directly, politely, and discuss the problem. This Tumblr community, we love diversity, we love culture, we might make some mistakes but ultimately it gives us the opportunity to learn.
-Obviously entries of the same cultures are fine.

-You can include any pairing, any rating, any version of Sherlock. If your artwork is explicit it’d be appreciated if you could put it under a preview or read more. We’re very flexible on content.

-You can submit art (drawn/painted/etc), graphics/photo manips, cosplay, photography, or crafts. Photo manips should alter at least 50% of the original image to qualify (meaning you can’t just paste a face onto a photo). If your image happens to have fic attached to it, that’s great, but we will not be accepting purely fic submissions this time around.

-We aren’t critical of quality! Whether you choose to push yourself and make something elaborate, or only have an hour or so and just want to participate, we love everything we get! Also, don’t put your work down in your comments!

-Please create new art! We feel it’s missing the point of the challenge to accept old works. However, if in the past you’ve created a Sherlock in your culture, already, then feel free to submit new art of your old concept.

-Limit of submissions: max 2.

-How to submit: post it to your blog. Tag it “letsdrawsherlock” within the first five tags (you must do this when you post; if you edit in the tag later it generally doesn’t appear under the tag listing). You can also send us your post ID via askbox.

But no matter what we do

I’ll still be hungry for you

The Police - Hungry for You (J’aurais Toujours Faim de Toi)

For the LetsDrawSherlock Musical Art project!

Drawing comics is so hard ugh TwT

The lyrics are actually “French”. Really butchered wrong French. Luckily I had help to translate them in a way they made a bit more sense haha.

Fishy Puns: SarahC and Tea

I’m just gonna paraphrase Doods here and say, when we two collaborate, we don’t get twice as good, we get twice as stupid. Expect more of that. <3

Credit for the amazing fish pun in the title goes to SarahC! Thank you, dear! <3

Challenge #20: Storytelling

Tried to retell my favourite of Grimm’s fairy tales: Das eigensinnige Kind/The wilful Child

The third page is a bit unclear I think, but I’m quite happy since I sketched this whole thing in a really short time.
